Notes from Humanity is an initiative of Life Calling. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and shared through notesfromhumanity.org.
1. Information We Collect
When you participate, we may collect your first name, last name, age, profession, country, Instagram handle, email address, uploaded photographs of handwritten notes, uploaded video recordings, and any information voluntarily included within your submission.
We may also collect basic technical information such as browser type, device information, and IP address.
2. Your Handwritten Note
By uploading a handwritten note, photograph, video recording, or related submission, you acknowledge that your contribution may become part of the Notes from Humanity global archive.
Your note may be reviewed, curated, reproduced, published, exhibited, displayed, archived, or shared by Life Calling in digital, printed, artistic, editorial, educational, documentary, research, promotional, or archival formats.
You retain ownership of your original words and artwork. By submitting your note, you grant Life Calling a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, display, publish, adapt, archive, and distribute your submission in connection with Notes from Humanity and related Life Calling projects.
3. Public Sharing
If you provide an Instagram handle, we may tag or credit you if your note, video, or other submission is publicly shared. We cannot guarantee that all submissions will be credited.
Please do not include private, confidential, or sensitive personal information in your handwritten note, video, or other submission.
4. Children’s Participation
If you are under 18, please participate only with the involvement or permission of a parent or legal guardian.
5. How We Use Information
We may use submitted information to maintain and curate the archive, review submissions, share selected notes publicly, support Life Calling campaigns and initiatives, contact participants if necessary, improve the website, and support related artistic, educational, research, and cultural projects.
6. Storage and Security
We take reasonable measures to protect submitted information and uploaded materials. However, no digital system can guarantee absolute security.
7. Third-Party Services
The website may use third-party services for hosting, file uploads, analytics, forms, storage, or social media integrations. These services may collect information according to their own privacy policies.
8. International Participation
Notes from Humanity is intended for a global audience. By participating, you understand that your information and uploaded content may be processed or stored in countries outside your own.
9. Removal Requests
To request removal of a submitted note from public display, contact Life Calling. We will make reasonable efforts to honor requests where possible, though archival, printed, or previously published materials may not always be fully retractable.
